Arrival in Interlaken West/Ost

Arrival by rail
All participants are entitled to a 50% reduction on the price of rail tickets to Interlaken Ost and back. Holders of a Half-fare Card or Swiss Card will even receive a 75% reduction on the normal tariff. Validity of special tickets: 8 days from date of purchase, valid from 3 to 10 September 2011. The special ticket is only valid for the return journey together with a start number.
Reduced-price tickets are available at the ticket counters and ticket machines of most Swiss railway stations. New: participants from Switzerland and outside can now buy the special ticket directly via the SBB Ticketshop. www.sbb.ch/jungfraumarathon

Parking
No parking facilities are available in Interlaken.
Follow EXPO signs to the central car park at the airfield. A direct postbus shuttle service (every 20 minutes) to the race bip issue points will run from 06.30 - 08.15 hrs. Evening return service 15.30 - 22.00 hrs. Price incl. parking fee: CHF 10.-. The bus stop for the shuttle bus to the airfield is at Hotel du Nord.

Interlaken, Höheweg closed:
Friday, 9 September 2011, from 10.00 to 20.00 h
Saturday, 10 September 2011, from 07.00 to 10.00 h

Zweilütschinen - Grindelwald:
Saturday, 10 September 2011 in Zweilütschinen from 09.45 to approx. 11.00 h through traffic severely obstructed. Waiting times must be expected.

Lauterbrunnen:
Saturday, 10 September 2011 from approx. 10.00 to approx. 12.30 h road through village and access to and from parking garage and railway station closed.

Transfers
The transfer of an acquired starting place must be notified to the secretary. An administration charge of CHF 20.00 will be levied for transfers made from 1 July. Transfers after 20 August may only be made at the Help Desk at the Marathon Expo.
The start number fee and administration charge of CHF 20.00 must be paid at the Help Desk on the issue of the start number.
