The Start of the Jungfrau-Marathon

Distribution of start numbers
The distribution of the start numbers takes place at the Marathon Expo in the Casino Kursaal Interlaken. The opening hours are:
Friday, 10 September 2010 9 am - 9 pm
Saturday, 11 September 2010 6.30 am - 8.45 am
The starting number will be handed out only against presentation of a signed starting card (starting ticket) and valid proof of your identity (passport, ID or driver's licence).

Start number
On the race day (Saturday) starting numbers are valid as day tickets on the railway sections Kleine Scheidegg - Grindelwald - Interlaken or Kleine Scheidegg - Wengen - Lauterbrunnen - Interlaken Ost. Runners with accommodation outside of Interlaken can use the starting card on Friday and Saturday for travelling from Grindelwald, Wengen, Lauterbrunnen or Mürren to Interlaken Ost to obtain their starting number. For the return travel to your acccommodation location simply present your starting number.

Changing rooms
The changing rooms for the marathon runners are located in the Lindenallee gym hall (approx. 300 m from the starting area).

Luggage
One piece of luggage per participant, max. 5 kg, will be transported to the finish area. The luggage needs to be handed over before 08.30 hrs (30 minutes before the start) at the transport truck behind the starting line. Please label your luggage and bags with name and starting number and do not, by any means, exceed the weight limit. Thank you.

Valuables and lost property
Valuables may be handed in on Saturday at a specially designed booth at the starting number distribution desk (Marathon Expo at the Casino Kursaal Interlaken). They can be collected at the luggage hand out point on the Kleine Scheidegg. After the closing of the finish area, any unclaimed valuables will be taken to the Casino Kursaal in Interlaken and can be reclaimed until 11 pm. The same applies to all lost property.

Massage services at the start
Pre-start massage services will be available from 07.15 to 08.15 hrs at the Marathon Expo (Casino Kursaal) in Interlaken.
