The Start of the Jungfrau-Marathon

Distribution of start numbers
The distribution of the start numbers takes place at the Marathon Expo in the Casino Kursaal Interlaken. The opening hours are:
Friday, 9 September 2011 9 am - 9.30 pm
Saturday, 10 September 2011 6.30 am - 8.45 am
The starting number will be handed out only against presentation of a signed starting card (starting ticket) and valid proof of your identity (passport, ID or driver's licence).

Start number
On the race day (Saturday) starting numbers are valid as day tickets on the railway sections Kleine Scheidegg - Grindelwald - Interlaken or Kleine Scheidegg - Wengen - Lauterbrunnen - Interlaken Ost. Runners with accommodation outside of Interlaken can use the starting card on Friday and Saturday for travelling from Grindelwald, Wengen, Lauterbrunnen or Mürren to Interlaken Ost to obtain their starting number. For the return travel to your acccommodation location simply present your starting number.

Changing rooms
The changing rooms for the marathon runners are located in the Lindenallee gym hall (approx. 300 m from the starting area).

Luggage
One piece of baggage per participant, max.weight 5 kg, will be transported to the finish. Hand in to the transport vehicle by the latest 08.30 h (30 minutes before the start) in front of the starting line at Hotel Hapimag Belvédère, in the direction of the race. Luggage must be labelled with name and start number - each runner will receive a corresponding label together with the start number. Please make sure you keep strictly to the weight limit.

Valuables and lost property
On Saturday, valuables can be handed in at a special stand near the start-number issue point. Return at the baggage pick-up point on Kleine Scheidegg. Valuables remaining unclaimed after the closing time of the race will be taken to the marquee in Interlaken and can be picked up there until 23.00 h. The same applies to all kinds of lost property. Valuables and lost property not claimed by 23.00 on Saturday will be available for collection at the offices of Jungfrau Railways in Harderstrasse, Interlaken (Tel. +41(0)33 828 71 50) from 08.00 h, Monday 12 September. Any discarded articles of clothing (T-shirts, trainers etc.) will be kept in the marquee until Sunday and then disposed of. 

Massage services at the start
Pre-start massage services will be available from 07.15 to 08.15 hrs in the marquee at the Marathon Expo in Interlaken.
